When Laurie made the leap from imagining stories to writing them, she immersed herself in the craft—devouring screenwriting books, bingeing industry podcasts, and enrolling in formal training. Her dedication paid off when she won the student competition of the prestigious UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting.

 
In 2022, Laurie founded Beach Entertainment, and since then, she has completed two short and one feature project (see Films).

 

Laurie is currently developing several original projects:

 

• NINE WIVES (Series) – How does one man end up married nine times—and who are the women who said yes? Each episode explores a new wife in a new city.

• KEYNOTES (Anthology Series) – Set in a Memory Care Home, this music-driven series reveals pivotal life moments sparked by performances, told through the eyes of residents, families, and caregivers.

• SAVING FATHER NATURE – A feature sequel to Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper, currently in development.
